Sales Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and high performing Sales Manager who is capable of performing the following tasks, to join us in growing an independent travel and lifestyle brand:

a. sales experience in the travel and lifestyle industry is preferred;

b. is capable of developing, implementing and maintaining sales strategies and guidelines for the sales team and supporting the sales team in adhering to the same;

c. in-charge of building on and maintaining all systems, product knowledge and offerings(such as itinerary builder, information database and feedback channels) and its standard operating procedures;

d. documenting sales processes, monitoring of sales production and commissions of each team member and the company as a whole, and preparing status reports, including the tracking of company profit/loss/revenue figures, hotel/consortia production and commission payouts, and running weekly sales meetings on the same;

e. is capable of sourcing, qualifying, maintaining, generating and assigning (to the sales team) new leads of the Company with respect to travel sales, including the nurturing and maintenance of client and partner relationships, gathering client feedback and identifying future upselling opportunities;

f. is able to deal with enquiries from previous, existing or prospective clients or corresponding with existing or prospective partners/suppliers of the company, governmental authorities, including the design of itineraries and proposals in accordance with company sales guidelines, and is capable of supporting and training the sales team on the same;

g. has an eye for details to ensure high client satisfaction through successful execution of any product or service booked by clients, and ensuring the sales team are supported and trained on the same;

h. is capable of keeping abreast of any developments with respect to our destinations which may have an impact on the travel and lifestyle industry and conducting thorough travel and business-related research, whether of the industry or our destinations in general or of our competitors and analysing any research findings;

i. where needed, is able to work with the marketing team and follow our branding guideline closely on the implementation of growth marketing strategies, executing 360-degree ad/marketing (whether online or offline) and e-mail campaigns, coordinating the same and dealing with EDM tools, including data analysis;

j. supporting current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital through the roll out and implementation of a cultural framework for the Blue Sky Escapes independent contractor community;

k. advising and implementing team retention and development strategies;

l. keeping up-to-date with the latest trends that drive company culture and independent models leveraging on the gig economy and advising on the same; 

m. ability to find and recruit new talent independently by applying own search methods, HR tools and networking in the travel and lifestyle space, including screening candidates, conducting interviews and performing selections for potential new talent;
