“At the Blue Sky Escapes HQ, we always set aside time for reflection and introspection. As 2018 draws to a close, we look back on the highlights of the year, like making the cover of The Business Times Weekend magazine and adding new destinations like Yunnan and Vietnam to our offerings this year.”

Launched our new website
Made the cover of The Business Times Weekend (amongst other fine press)
We were humbled to receive some great press coverage from Buro 24/7, Esquire and more — and even graced the cover of The Business Times Weekend magazine with a photo of a Bhutanese Layap woman taken by our founder, Krystal. A huge thank you to all the publications for your support!

Expanded to Yunnan and SEA (Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia)
Over the past year, we’ve wandered through parts of China and Southeast Asia, leaving our footprints in places less-travelled and unlocking immersive experiences for our curious travellers along the way. Explore our latest additions on our website and check back for more destinations in 2019.
If you’re keen to discover a destination that isn’t reflected on our site, feel free to drop us a message anyway. We may have something in the works and we’d love to hear from you.
Hosted our first spiritual fitness retreat in Bhutan
We partnered up with a professional fitness instructor to craft a special group journey to Bhutan focusing on fitness and spirituality in April. This spiritual fitness retreat involved an invigorating multi-day trek in the Bhutanese Himalayas, a meditation session with a spiritual master and pilgrimage hikes to mystical monasteries. We also arranged for our travellers to dine with a renowned historian and Royal Family advisor.
Participated in Singapore Design Week 2018
We took part in the Design District Dialogue held at Chip Bee Gardens, where we had the opportunity to open up our cosy office space, display our collection of travel curios gathered from all around the world by our founders, and spread the word on our destinations and custom itineraries through in-house mini-tours. To sweeten the experience, we partnered up with Birds of Paradise so visitors could enjoy their delicious botanical gelato.
What most people don’t know is that we only had 18 hours to put it all together — furniture assembling, printing our posters, styling the space and countless tasks more — as we’d only collected the keys to our new office the evening before!
Giving Back: Assisi Hospice’s annual charity auction
In support of Assisi Hospice, we gifted a specially-curated nomadic migration experience in Mongolia for two for their annual charity auction so as to raise funds for individuals who need specialist care, love and support in their final journeys. We are delighted to share that we raised S$11,000 at the auction, which will go towards providing palliative care for patients and their families.
