An Encounter with Elephants
Date: Thurs, 6 Aug 2020
Time: 5.00PM (SGT); 60 minutes
Join us in connecting with elephants live from their natural habitat in Thailand.
We’re going live over Zoom to the Anantara Golden Triangle Camp and Resort for a quirky “virtual encounter”. Discover up-close the lives of these gentle, graceful animals perhaps as they bathe in the river or enjoy some playtime in the mud.
We’ll be observing these creatures to find out about their personalities, habits and idiosyncrasies: do they really have such long memories? What kind of personality does an elephant have? What does a day in the life of an Asian Elephant look like?
Hear from Gauderic Harang, General Manager of the hotel property and the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation, in Chiang Rai – a group devoted to the rescue of these elephants from circuses, illegal logging camps and the street.
Blue Sky Escapes is teaming up with Trehaus and together, we will unearth some lesser known facts about elephants and what makes them so special. Because this is a live virtual encounter, we will aim to get up close and personal to better acquaint ourselves with these friendly giants, before moving on to an engaging Q&A session for all our elephant enthusiasts with the team from Anantara and the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation.
As a sweet ending, we’ll wrap up the session with an exclusive raffle giveaway.
Register and subscribe to our mailing list for the chance to score two complimentary nights in a Deluxe Three Country View Room with breakfast for two and an exclusive Walk with Elephants activity during your stay.
*The lucky winner will be announced from those in attendance at the end of the event
